1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 1/4 cups milk
1 cup half and half
1/2 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground white pepper to taste

* Use A Rich Sauce for Several Entrées (recipe below) as the base for this variation. A Rich Sauce For Several Entrées * In medium saucepan, melt butter or margarine; add flour and stir over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add remainder of ingredients. Stir over heat until smooth and thick, about 10 minutes. Flake a 7 1/2 -ounce can of Albacore tuna and add to cream sauce. Add 1 teaspoon dried minced onion. Heat through and serve on rice or buttered toast.
