Thai Tea

Serves: 4

Use whatever milk you'd like - milk, cream, half & half, almond milk, coconut milk, etc.

4 cups water
4 organic black tea bags
3/4 to 1 cups organic sugar
2 anise stars
2 cardamom pods, smashed
2 cloves
1 cup milk or milk substitute of choice


1. Bring water to simmer. Add tea bags, sugar, anise stars, cardamom pods, and cloves. Simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat and steep, uncovered 30 minutes.
2. Strain tea into glass container and refrigerate until cool.
3. Pour over ice in glasses. Add milk of choice.
4. Serve.
