Shepherd's Pie

Serves 6


1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can tomato soup
1 (8-ounce) can green beans
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Crumble and cook ground beef in skillet until brown and no longer pink. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato soup, green beans, salt and pepper. Pour into lightly greased baking dish. Spoon mashed potatoes over top. Sprinkle cheese over potatoes. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
