A members response to The Cook'n Club...

I have been buying your software for years and I absolutely love it!!! It’s on my laptop so I take it into my kitchen. Start up the software and I'm ready to cook. This new Cook'n Club idea is so awesome!!!

Monday

Cajun Pork Roast
Parsley Potatoes
Dressed-Up Carrots

Dovetailing Tips: About 1 1/2 hrs before you want to serve, preheat oven to 350° F for the pork roast; remember, cleanup will be much easier with a little foil in that pan.

Once that's in the oven you can peel and cut the potatoes; go ahead and do the ones for Mashed Potatoes on Wednesday, but be sure to put them in a bowl and cover with water and add salt. They will keep fine that way and not turn brown before you need them.

Once you get the carrots started you will have a few minutes before it all starts getting done! Leftover potatoes can be tossed into mashed potatoes on Wednesday, and leftover carrots would be great in the pot pie on Friday.

Tuesday

Italian Spaghetti Meat Sauce
Garlic Bread
Fort Knox Pie

Dovetailing Tips: Tuesday is easy, put the sauce in the crockpot in the morning, then just cook the pasta and warm the bread when you are ready to eat! (Since this is the easiest night for cooking, you could go ahead and grate the cheese for the Duo Vegetables Supreme on Wednesday and then measure the dry ingredients for the Chive Biscuits on Friday and put them in zipper bags.

Wednesday

Family Favorite Chicken
Creamy Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
Duo Vegetables Supreme

Dovetailing Tip: In the morning take out the chicken to thaw for Family Favorite Chicken and the Pot Pie on Friday.

This meal should whip up quickly since the potatoes are already peeled and cubed in the fridge from Monday and the cheese is grated from Tuesday. Be sure to save the leftover gravy and vegetables from this meal for the potpie on Friday, it'll be so much better than jar gravy! You can cook the chicken for the chicken pot pie, just cut it up and place it in fridge until Friday.

Thursday

Crispy Baked Fillets
Simply Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
Green Beans

Dovetailing Tips: Put together the Strawberries and Cream Mousse for Friday, so it will be jelled. Don't garnish until ready to serve.

Friday

Chicken Pot Pie
Chive Biscuits
Strawberries and Cream Mousse

Dovetailing Tips: Use any leftover gravy and/or veggies from Wednesday's dinner for the Pot Pie and just reduce the amount of jarred gravy that you put in - I would suggest at least half leftover gravy if you have that much left!

All your dry ingredients for the biscuits are already together from Tuesday, all you have to do is cut the butter in and mix in the buttermilk.

While the Pot Pie is in the oven mix the biscuits together and cut them, they can sit on the cookie sheet and wait their turn in the oven. The Pot Pie can set up while you increase the heat on the oven to 400° and pop in the biscuits.

Garnish the Strawberries and Cream Mousse and you have another easy, delicious meal completed!
