Banana-Berry Smoothie


Serves: 5
Total Calories: 43
Yield: 16 ounces

Ingredients

4 or 5 large strawberries tope removed
1 large banana
1 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup crushed

Directions:

1. Remove the tops of the strawberries with your fingers. (You can also use a knife, but you will run the risk of cutting away some of the berry.)
2. Put all the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the ice is well crushed (you won’t hear it clicking against the glass).
3. Pour into a large glass and enjoy as is or garnished with fresh fruit.

Half a honeydew melon or a whole cantaloupe, cut into small chunks 7–10 ice cubes (depending on the amount of melon) Yield: About 16 to 24 ounces

Yogurt Berry
Smoothie 1 cup raspberries, blackberries, and/or strawberries 1 cup apple juice 1?2 cup plain yogurt 1?2 cup crushed ice or 4 large ice cubes Yield: About 16 ounces
