Sweet and Spicy Toaster Oven Nuts

Ingredients

12 ounces mixed nuts (cashews, pecans, and walnuts)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions:

Turn toaster oven to toast at darkest setting.

Roast nuts on a dry 8 x 11-inch baking sheet for 3–5 minutes, or until well heated and lightly browned.

Remove pan from toaster oven, pour nuts into a bowl and stir in butter. Toss in brown sugar, spices, and salt. Spread on a sheet of parchment or wax paper. Sprinkle with sugar and let cool. Makes 2 cups.
