Broccoli Hot Dish

Ingredients

1 (16-ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1 - 2 cup quick rice (cooked)
1 (15-ounce) jar Cheez-Whiz or cheddar cheese soup
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnut (optional)
chopped onion and celery (optional)
1/4 cup milk
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup or cream of chicken soup
crushed potato chip or French fried onion rings

Directions:

Mix all except last ingredient together in casserole dish and bake 30–40 minutes at 350°. Cover with crushed potato chips or onions 15 minutes before done.

Variation 1: For Mexican dish, use jalapeño Cheez-Whiz, but be careful!! May add 2 cups grated cheese. Add 2/3 of it to the casserole; top with remaining.

Variation 2: Combine broccoli, 2 cups rice, onion, 8 ounces Cheez-Whiz and 1/2 cup half-and-half.
