Ingredients

4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter or margarine, (not low-fat spreads)
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans, divided
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, and set aside.

In a large saucepan on low heat, melt together unsweetened chocolate and butter or margarine. Turn off heat, but leave pan on stove while you stir in sugar, then eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and half the nuts. Spread mixture into pan, and bake 35 minutes. Remove from oven, and resist the temptation to dig in—we’re not finished yet!

Immediately sprinkle with remainder of nuts, marshmallows, and butterscotch morsels. Return pan to oven, and bake 3–5 minutes; watch until you see toppings start to melt. Remove from oven, and cool before slicing. Yields 15 large squares or 24 little ones.
