Ingredients

1/2 cup raw almond butter (preferable homemade, recipe found in this chapter)
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 teaspoons maple syrup or agave nectar
2 teaspoons tamari
1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
1/4 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
dash cayenne
dash salt

Directions:

Equipment:
measuring cups
citrus juicer or reamer
measuring spoons
garlic press
file grater
blender
rubber spatula

Put all the ingredients in a blender and process on medium speed until smooth. Stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator, Mock Peanut Sauce will keep for 5 days.
