Meat Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

1 medium soup bone
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped carrot
1/3 cup parsley, chopped
1/4 cup onion
1 cup cooked tomato
1 tablespoon barley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1 egg
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1/3 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

Combine soup bone, celery, carrots, parsley, onion, tomatoes, barley, and salt simmer covered for 2-1/2 hours. Remove soup bone. Make dumplings with ground beef, ground pork, egg, dried bead crumbs, sage, salt, and pepper form into balls and drop into hot soup. Cover and cook one hour longer.
