Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
1/2 cup cream or evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided

Directions:

Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar, corn syrup, cream, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Cook, stirring constantly for about 1 minute. Cool and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
