Basic White Sauce


Serves: 4
Total Calories: 95

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
salt
pepper

Directions:

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Stir flour in cook until paste forms and bubbles, but do not brown. Add milk, salt, and pepper, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

NOTE: You will have better luck if the milk is first heated.
