Yield: One 9x14 inch Flat cake, or one bundt cake

Ingredients

1 (1-pound 3-ounce) box devil's food cake mix
1 (4-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup extra-light olive oil
5 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pound sour cream

Directions:

1. Place the cake mix and instant pudding mix in a large bowl and mix lightly. Add the olive oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, and beat with an electric mixer until combined.

2. Add the sour cream to the cake batter, and beat with an electric mixer until thoroughly combined.

3. Grease a 9-x-13-inch baking pan or a 12-cup bundt pan. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 40 to 45 minutes for a sheet cake, or 50 to 55 minutes for a bundt cake. When the cake is done, a toothpick will come out clean when inserted in the center of the cake.

4. Cool the sheet cake completely before slicing and serving from the pan. Allow the bundt cake to rest for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a rack; then cool completely before slicing and serving.
