Garlic Sauce

2 cloves garlic
2 or 3 slices Italian breads, crusts removed
1/2 cup toasted walnuts
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper


1 In a food processor or blender, combine the garlic, bread, walnuts, and salt and pepper to taste. Process until finely chopped.

2 With the machine running, gradually blend in the oil. Process until the sauce is thick and smooth. 3 Let stand at room temperature 1 hour before serving.
