Worster House Hot Fudge Sunday Cake

Ingredients

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/3 cups very hot water

Directions:

First preheat oven to 350°. Use a 9x9-inch pan and do NOT grease pan.

Combine first five ingredients and stir with a fork in the baking pan.

Mix milk, oil, vanilla, and chopped nuts in a separate bowl; then spread evenly on top of the flour and sugar mixture.

Combine brown sugar and cocoa, sprinkle over everything evenly.

Pour very hot water over the entire cake (do not stir). Bake for 35–40 minutes. Serve hot from the oven on top of your best vanilla ice cream.
