Italian Macaroni Bake

Ingredients

8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
1 pound ground beef browned and drained
salt and pepper to taste
1 (14-ounce) jar pizza sauce
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook macaroni according to package directions and drain.

Season cooked beef with salt and pepper. Place half the macaroni into bottom of a greased 2-quart baking dish. Layer half each of the beef, pizza sauce, mushrooms, and cheese. Place remaining macaroni over top and repeat layers. Cover and bake 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 5–10 minutes more, or until cheese is melted.Makes 6 servings.
