Italian Burgers

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
1/3 cup spaghetti sauce
3 tablespoons finely chopped onions
4 slices (1 ounce each) provolone cheese
8 slices Italian bread, grilled, if desired
sliced tomato, if desired
sliced olives, if desired

Directions:

Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat. Mix turkey, spaghetti sauce and onion. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick.
Cover and grill patties 4 to 6 inches from medium heat 14 to 16 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center. About 1 minute before burgers are done, top each with cheese slice. Grill until cheese is melted. Serve between bread slices with tomatoes and olives.

Betty's Tip
Use crumpled aluminum foil to scrape cooked-on food bits from the grill rack. This is a great way to recycle slightly used foil!
