Turkey Salad with Strawberries

Ingredients

1 pound asparagus spears
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
6 cups assorted salad greens
3 cups cooked turkey, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup pecan halves for garnish

Dressing:
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 cup oil
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Directions:

Cut asparagus into 1-inch pieces. Discard woody ends. Cover with water and cook until crisp tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Combine asparagus, berries, greens, and turkey.

For Dressing:
In a food processor, combine sugar, mustard, salt, vinegar, and onion. Gradually add oil, orange juice, orange zest, and poppy seeds. Toss the dressing with salad ingredients. Top with pecans.
