Desert Dream Bars

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecan
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


In medium bowl, mix butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and flour. Press into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients and spread over baked first mixture. Bake another 25–30 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm.
