Ingredients

7 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
2 packages yeast
2 1/4 cups warm water
1/2 cup melted butter
3 Gala apples peeled and diced
2 cups brown sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1 pound powdered sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:

Pour water in large mixing bowl, add yeast, sugar and salt. Add shortening and slowly add flour mixing as you add. Add flour until dough is no longer sticky. Knead on floured surface (about 10 minutes) until flour is smooth and elastic. Put into a lightly oiled bowl and cover with towel. Place in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour. After dough has risen, punch down and form a ball. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle. Pour melted butter over dough surface. Sprinkle with sugar and liberally add cinnamon, about 3 Tablespoons. Sprinkle with diced apples. Roll the dough from the bottom up (like a jelly roll). Once in a oblong roll, slice in 1" slices and place in a greased baking dish. Cover with towel and let rise for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and add the risen rolls to the oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. While the rolls are cooking mix together the last 3 ingredients. Frost rolls while still warm.
