Why Does My Cook’n Say Version 15.2.9 While the Newsletter Says 38.3.0?
QUESTION:
"I got an email this morning telling me about version 38.3.0. Out of curiosity I checked and mine is v15.2.9. What's the deal? I only pay for basic, $50/year, but I thought I got updates.
If I no longer get updates, I guess I don't want to pay any longer either. I must only be paying for online sync and that ain't worth $50/year.
Sorry, I guess I'm not a big user so haven't been keeping up!!! Thanks." - Tom H.
ANSWER:
Hi Tom,
Thanks for reaching out! I can see how the version numbers might be confusing.
Cook’n actually has many different apps for each of the different platforms, each with its own versioning system:
- Cook’n for Windows
- Cook’n for Mac
- Cook’n for iOS
- Cook’n for Android
- Cook’n for Amazon
- Cook’n for Alexa
- Cook’n for Apple Watch
- Cook’n Web App
The newsletter you received showed a screenshot from the Cook’n iOS app, which is currently at version 38.3.0.
The screenshot you sent, however, is from the Cook’n Desktop App for Windows. The latest version of Cook’n Desktop is 15.2.9—which is exactly what you have. So you’re completely up to date!
No need to worry—you’re getting the latest updates available for your subscription.
I hope this clears things up, but please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
Also, thank you for expressing your concern because there may be others who were wondering the same thing.
Best wishes,
Dan
