New Grocery Items

Tips for all you foodies out there: While out at Giant foods Friday getting items for the weekend when I came across these items. The New Brad’s Crunchy Vampire Killer Kale & Brad’s Raw Chips: Red Bell Pepper these caught my eye as I like to try new things, also try to eat healthy, and it came with a coupon for $1.00 off. So when I got home I pulled the tab lifted the lid and ate one of the Vampire Killer flavor of Brad’s Raw Crunchy Kale. Coated with red bell pepper, cashews, sunflower seeds, lemon juice, scallions, chickpea miso, garlic, and Himalayan sea salt, these kale chips may kill vampires, but they liven up my taste buds! So then had to research on what to do with them before I eat the whole box, it is like you can’t just eat one. Went on the web site and found like me Brad was overweight, mildly depressed, and on prescription drugs for high cholesterol and blood pressure levels. If have seen the documentary film “Eating,” which highlights the benefits of a plant-based diet. This film really resonated with him and me to adopt a rawer food diet. One of the recipes I wanted to try was to take and sprinkle a handful over your eggs so the next morning for my breakfast I again open the lid and put some of the Kale on my eggs, WAHOO!

So you can eat this as a snack, add them to salads, a topping in any things you want to add or replace the lettuces, and them to your soups for a tasty superfood addition. Give this a try the next time you fix Cod or Salmon Put the Crunchy Kale in a food processor and pulse until it becomes a green powder add and adding to top the Cod or Salmon, bake at 325⁰F for 22 1/2 minute, It was delicious.. Let me take a minute of your time here [what is the best way to cook?] any of these, what I call oil fish, when it comes to choices you have Broiling, Grilling, Poaching and Baking for me it is the time, season and cooking technique. Do I have to fix dinner quick cause I just got off work, or in is winter / summer, and them what does the recipe call for. Many times I come across a recipe that calls for one or the other then I just have to “think-out-of-the-box” how can I make this given the choices, it is up to modify it to your life style.

The Red Bell Pepper flavor of Brad’s Raw Chips will make anyone’s taste buds happy! Made with carrots, red bell peppers, flax seeds, raw buckwheat groats, scallions, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, Himalayan sea salt, paprika, and black pepper, I recommend you pairing them with a freshly made hummus, salsa, guacamole or cheese dip. The ideas of uses are endless they can even replace the croutons in your soup.
