The BIG Question

By Sydney Hill

So, here's the question on my mind, and my question to you. Which is better? Quality or Quantity?

Or

It's on my mind because I ate some pizza just a minute ago that's pretty good, but really cheap. (So I guess I'm getting a little of both, but I'd have to say quantity won in this battle)

It's an age old question really, one that has been debated for years. Frankly, it's one that's hard to answer. Quality has its place. No one wants junk. No matter what it is. I know there's the whole saying "one man's junk is another man's treasure" and yeah, there's truth to that. But there's some junk that is just junk.

But, Quantity has it's own reserved spot as well. People tend to like things when they get lots of them. Even if it's not something amazing, it's lots of it! So it's cool...right?

Obviously, there's going to be times when each will have it's glory. If there is a nice, crisp, clean dollar bill, and fifty dirty dollar bills...yup, I'm gonna take the fifty. But if there was a front-row seat Brian Regan ticket (an amazingly funny and clean comedian, you should look him up) or 10 tickets in the back corner, I'd take the front row for sure!

To help narrow things down a bit, let's stick to the subject we're all thinking about...food.

I want to know what you think. When it comes to food, are you a fan of quality or quantity? And yes, the answer may change from situation to situation, but I'm looking for an "in general..." answer. There's an all you can eat pizza place that's fairly good quality, but I'd say I go for the quantity. Then there's a burger place that I LOVE, but I practically only go for their dipping sauce, and you get about a 1/4 cup for 50 cents. It's quality in that case.

I'm not going to say what I would choose (I guess I'm cheating because it's probably just that I can't really decide) but I want to hear what you all have to say.

Who's for quality? Who's for quantity? AND REMEMBER, this is generally speaking. Let's say if you had to choose one to live by for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Luckily we don't actually have to live like that, huh?)

Quality or Quantity?

This may help us all the next time we plan a party! We'll know where to focus our time, making lots of cookies or one crème brûlée.....
