Download these recipes into your Cook'n software. Then, you can save time and money by using your Cook'n software to make a grocery list! Save time by using the dovetailing and "prepare-ahead-of-time" features designed into this menu!


Weekly shopping tips:

  • Several ingredients are common throughout this week's menu, so buy in bulk!
    • Buy about 2 pounds of shrimp
    • Buy 2 pounds of pork roast
    • You will use bell peppers for both curry and the chicken kabob
    • You'll need between 2 to 4 mangos
    • Buy 1 bunch of green onions

  • Don't be afraid of the Asian ingredients--you may have many already on hand:
    • sesame oil
    • soy sauce
    • rice vinegar
    • chili garlic sauce
    • green curry paste
    • fish sauce
    • mirin
    • hoison
    • five spice powder


Monday

Dovetailing Tips:

  • Cook extra shrimp to use in the fresh spring rolls tomorrow night



Tuesday

Dovetailing Tips:

  • Use extra shrimp from last night in the spring rolls recipe
  • Cook extra rice to use in fried rice tomorrow night (my mother says day old rice makes the best fried rice)
  • Save one or two mangos for Thursday night


Wednesday

Dovetailing Tips:

  • Use the leftover rice from last night in the fried rice recipe
  • Char Siu is a delicious Chinese barbeque dish that will made easy by using your crock pot. Be sure to reserve about 1/12 cups of the cooked pork for use in tomorrow's appetizer


Thursday

Dovetailing Tips:

  • Use remaining cooked pord from last night in tonight's Char Siu Bao (Pork Buns) recipe
  • Use the extra mangos for tonight's Mango Lassi recipe
  • For stuffed pork buns--skip the directions for making the meat and sauce
  • Simply make the dough and stuff it with reserved char siu from last night
