Sizzlin' Steak or Chicken Fajitas

Serves 5


3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons onion salt
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin, ground
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon red bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 pound beef sirloin steak, or chicken, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup cilantro leaves, minced
1/2 cup onion, sliced
1/2 cup tomato, chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper, sliced
3-4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup green onion, thinly sliced
8" flour tortilla (homemade is delicious)
guacamole optional
sour cream, optional

Mix together the first 11 ingredients (all ingredients listed before "chicken"). Add steak or chicken, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, and peppers. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight. When ready to sizzle, heat 3-4 tablespoons oil in a 10-inch skillet. Pour in the meat mixture (don't drain). Stir and cook for about 5-8 minutes or until meat is done. Remove from heat and toss in 1/2 cup thinly sliced onions. To serve, roll up into 8-inch flour tortillas. Garnish with guacamole or sour cream as desired.
