Indoor Swimming Pool
Submitted by Stacie Henry

During the winter my kids tend to get stir crazy, and since they enjoy swimming, they always ask to go swimming. My standard response is "You can this summer."

One rainy day that wasn't good enough for them, so they gathered all of the bedding in the house, arranged it on the floor of the bedroom, and draped my son's blue comforter over the top and created an indoor swimming pool. They had so much fun jumping off the bed into the pool, and pretending to swim and float that it has become a regular occurrence around our home.

When it is followed by a picnic dinner it's a great way to spend a stormy afternoon, and you avoid all of the crowds too.
