Slow Cooker Ribs

Serves 4


2 pounds pork spare ribs
1 tablespoon oil
2 onions, sliced
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce
water to taste

Divide ribs into serving size pieces. In a large skillet, brown ribs in oil over medium-high heat reserve drippings. Transfer ribs to a 3-quart slow cooker. Sauté onions in drippings until tender place in slow cooker. Cover meat and onions with barbecue sauce dilute sauce with a little water during cooking time. Cover and simmer on low for 6 to 8 hours.
