Broiled Dijon Burgers

Serves 6

Ingredients:

1/4 cup fat-free cholesterol-free egg product or 2 egg white
2 tablespoon fat-free (skim) milk
2 teaspoon Dijon style mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup soft bread crumbs (about 2 slices bread)
1 small onion , finely chopped (1/4 cup)
1 pound diet-lean or extra-lean ground beef
hamburger bun , split and toasted, if desired

1. Set oven control to broil. Spray broiler-pan rack with cooking spray.

2. Mix egg product, milk, mustard, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Stir in bread crumbs and onion. Stir in beef. Shape mixture into 6 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick.

3. Place patties on rack in broiler pan. Broil with tops about 5 inches from heat about 5 minutes on each side for medium, turning once, until no longer pink in center and juice is clear. Serve patties on buns
