I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Five Minute White House Dessert

1 frozen pie crust frozen, thawed
1 1-pound can sliced peaches pineapple, or other fruit, drained
1 3 3/4-ounce package instant vanilla pudding regular prepared according to package instructions
Butter or margarine

Heat oven to 500 F. Remove pie dough from pan and cut into 1-inch wide strips. Place fruit in same pie pan from which frozen shell was removed. Cover with pudding and strip top of pudding with crust. Dot crust with butter or margarine and sprinkle with sugar. Place on rack in upper 1/3 of oven. Bake for 5 minutes or until pie strips are browned. Watch carefully. Cool before serving.
