Cloud Glitch? Here’s What Happened—and Why It’s All Fixed Now
QUESTION:
I've used cook'n for many, many years.
Today Cook'n would not load on my computer . So I picked up my phone to connect to the cloud.
- The Cloud did not ask me to login yet my recipes were available
- Then I noticed that my phone had not SYNC'd since last February. I thought it was doing automatic syncing.
- Then I got a message that I do not have a membership level that allows access to the cloud. That's news to me.
- So, I know you have my credit card so I wondered if it had expired - but in that case I think you would contact me.
- Since Cook'n won't load on my computer, I can't join again.
So, how can I renew my membership and be a happy cook'n user again?

Hi Florence,
It's great to hear from you! I'm so sorry for the hiccup.
The problems that you were having today were a result of a major, unprecedented internet outage (see https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/widespread-google-outage-hits-services-intermittent-failures).
Unfortunately, this outage had a negative impact on the Cook'n Cloud service (which is powered by the Google App Engine which was down this morning).
Fortunately, it looks like most of the services have been restored now. Please try again and let me know if you continue to have any issues.

Thanks for that info. I have thousands of recipes. I’ve used Mealmaster, MasterCook, Living Cookbook, and a few others. Nothing compares to Cook’n though. I can see that it was made for cooks and is very user freindly. They left nothing out.
