Makin' Bacon...

Serves: 5

1. Lay the slices side by side. If your pan is a little too small for the amount of bacon you want to cook, you can overlap the slices slightly.
2. You will need to turn the bacon several times—four times or more. Use tongs or a fork to carefully flip the slices.
3. Once the bacon is cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove it from the pan and place it on paper towels to absorb the excess fat.

Important tip
The biggest mistake people make when cooking bacon is trying to cook it too fast over high heat. Bacon should be cooked slowly over medium heat. Although this takes more time, the bacon is less likely to burn—or splash you with hot grease.
