Beef Curry Noodle Bowl


Serves: 5

Ingredients

1/2 cup chopped jerky (regular or peppered)
1/2 cup dried vegetable mix
1/4 cup raisins
1 tablespoon mild curry powder
4 teaspoons low sodium beef bouillon
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 (5-ounce) package chukka soba noodles, crumbled
4 cups water

Directions:

AT HOME:
1. Pack everything but the noodles a sandwich bag.

2. Pack noodles in separate bag.

AT CAMP:
1. Bring water to a boil; add noodles; return to a boil; simmer 3 minutes.

2. Remove from stove; cover; let sit 5 minutes.

3. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Notes: Chuka soba noodles (also called chow mein noodles) can be found in the Asian section of stores); angel hair pasta may be substituted or 2 pkgs ramen noodles (without seasoning packet). Dried vegetable mix can be found in bulk food sections or use freeze-dried such as Just Vegetables;

Fun Fact: Longitudes run east and west.
