Onion Rings

Ingredients

2 to 3 large onions
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg

Directions:

Cut onions into 1/2-inch slices and separate into rings. Mix together dry ingredients. Add milk and egg, beating until smooth. Dip onion rings into batter drain off excess batter. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.
