French Fried Deviled Eggs

Ingredients

12 eggs, hard cooked
4 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese
1/4 cup minced celery
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon minced parsley
cayenne pepper
1 cup dry bread crumbs
oil or vegetable shortening
tomato celery sauce

Directions:

Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and mash them. Add cheese, cream, celery, parsley, onion, Worcestershire, a few grains of cayenne pepper, and salt. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture and press halves together. Roll eggs in crumbs. Add wine to beaten egg and dip the eggs in it. Roll again in crumbs. Fry in 3 inches of hot oil (375°F) for 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve immediately with tomato celery sauce.
