Lemon Bon Bons

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup cornstarch
1 1/4 cups sifted self-rising flour
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Lemon Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice
food coloring

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add cornstarch and flour, and mix well. Refrigerate overnight.

Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls; place on wax paper that has been scattered with nuts. Use bottom of glass (dipped in flour) to flatten balls to 1/4 inch thick. Using spatula, place on ungreased cookie sheet, nut side up. Bake 6-8 minutes at 350°. Cool and frost.

For Lemon Frosting:
Blend sugar, butter, and lemon juice until smooth. Divide and color. Swirl on top of cookie.
