banana shake

Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

1 frozen banana (see Advance Preparation chapter), thawed for 5 minutes and broken into 2 or 3 pieces
1/2 cup Almond Milk (recipe found in Cereals and Milks chapter)
1 1/2 teaspoons maple syrup or agave nectar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Equipment:
measuring cups
measuring spoons
blender
rubber spatula

Put all the ingredients in a blender. Process on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately.

Strawberry Shake: Omit the vanilla extract and add 1 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries. Yield: 2 cups, 2 servings.
