V1:Chapter 8: Whole Wheat Blender Pancakes

Serves: 6

1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup whole wheat kernels
1 egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sugar or honey
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder



Place the milk and whole wheat kernels into a blender at high speed 2-3 minutes. Add the egg, oil, sugar (or honey), salt and baking powder to the blender and blend 1 minute more.

* Note: Some wheat blends up thicker than others. You will need to adjust the liquid if the batter is too thick.

** Note: You can also use powdered milk and/or powdered eggs in this recipe.
