Barbecued Cheese Burgers

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons dried, minced onion
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Optional: garlic butter, melted
5 hamburger buns, split and toasted

Directions:

Thoroughly mix together ground beef, onion, sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Form into 10 thin patties. Place 1/4 cup cheese on top of 5 patties; top each with another patty and press together to seal. Grill on a hot grill to desired doneness. For extra flavor, brush with melted garlic butter during grilling. Serve on toasted buns.

Tip: Lined with a tea towel, vintage cherry-picking pails make handy potluck take-alongs for rolls, fresh fruit, napkins and silverware.
