Honey Barbecue Sauce


Serves: 16

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup
1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 to 3/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over high heat. Blend with a whisk until smooth.

When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer uncovered until reduced by 1/3, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat. (The sauce will thicken as it cools.)

Use to marinate meat or cover and store in the fridge to be used as a dipping sauce.
