Black Bean Hummus


Serves: 5

Yield: 1 1/2 Cups

Ingredients

2 cups cooked and drained black beans
1/4 cup sesame tahini
1 tablespoon tamari sauce or soy sauce, to taste
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1-3 clove garlic
dash cayenne pepper
paprika for garnish

Directions:

1. Place all the ingredients except the paprika in a blender or food processor and process until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Stop the machine and scrape the sides of the container with a rubber spatula, if necessary, to make sure all the ingredients are processed.

2. Sprinkle with paprika and serve at room temperature with whole-grain pita, chips, or crudités.
