Mexican Chili

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 (15-ounce) can hot and spicy chili beans
1 (15-ounce) can hot chili beans
1 (28-ounce) can diced tomato, do not drain
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
4 (4-ounce) cans chopped green chilies, drained
2 tablespoons sugar
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried marjoram, crushed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 black pepper
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)

Directions:

In skillet brown ground beef and drain well. Place in crockpot. Add beans, undrained tomatoes, celery, onion, tomato paste, green pepper, green chilies, sugar, bay leaf, salt, marjoram, garlic powder, pepper and mushrooms if desired. Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.

Skim off excess fat. Remove bay leaf stir before serving.
