Wheel o’ Brie Bread Bowl

1 round sourdough bread
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (8-ounce) wheel brie cheese, rind removed


Cut circle in top of bread and remove bread center to make room for brie wheel.

Spread butter on bread. Mix sugar with spices. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons spice mixture over bread. Using a serrated knife, make 2-inch cuts in 1-inch intervals around edge of bread. Place brie in bread. Sprinkle cheese with remaining spice mixture. Place top of bread over cheese. Bake in 350° oven 20–25 minutes. Remove bread top and tear into small pieces. Dip bread pieces in hot cheese.
