Ingredients

1 (11-ounce) can refrigerated breadsticks
8 hot dogs
wooden craft sticks

Directions:

Separate breadstick dough and roll into pieces 15 inches long. Put craft sticks into one end of each hot dog. Wrap bread "ropes" around dogs from one end to the other, pinching to seal. Spray Pam on baking sheet before placing dogs 1 inch apart. Bake in 350° oven for 18–20 minutes. Offer mustard, ketchup, or ranch dressing in bowls for dipping.

Fun Fact: Vienna claims the weinerwurst (1480) and Frankfurt the frankfurter wurst (later weiners and franks). Around 1870, Charles Feltman, a German immigrant, began selling sausages in rolls on Coney Island. There are many stories and myths about how they eventually came to be called hot dogs, but none has been authenticated as first.
