Yummy Apple Drink Mix

Ingredients

1 pint vanilla ice cream softened
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
1 cup butter or margarine, melted (2 sticks)
apple juice
cinnamon stick if you wish

Directions:

1. Place ice cream, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in an electric blender container or food processor bowl. Cover container or bowl. Turn blender or processor on and blend or process until smooth. (Turn machine off a few times and scrape mixture off the sides.)

2. Turn blender on and slowly add melted butter or margarine in a steady stream and blend well.

3. Mixture can be frozen at this point. Spoon mixture into empty ice cube trays. Place in the freezer until frozen. Pop frozen cubes into a reclosable plastic freezer bag. Write date on the bag. Mixture can be frozen up to 1 month.


To Prepare One Serving: Heat apple juice. Place 1 cube or 2 tablespoons of mixture in a mug. Add 1 cup of the hot apple juice and stir with a spoon or a cinnamon stick, if you wish.


To Prepare One Serving in the Microwave Oven: Heat 1 cup of apple juice and 1 cube of mix in a large mug in a microwave oven at 100% power (700 watts) for 1 minute 45 seconds to 2 minutes or until steaming stir well.
