Stir baking soda into tomatoes and juice set aside. Melt butter or margarine in a medium saucepan over low heat stir in flour and seasonings blend well. Add milk and tomatoes. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Add cheese stir until cheese melts. Stir half of the hot mixture into eggs, then return to saucepan. Stir until heated through (do not boil). Serve over toast.
