Seasoned Butter

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/2 teaspoons water cold
1/2 cup butter softened
1 teaspoon parsley dried, crushed
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon sugar

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.

In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter, cornstarch mixture, parsley, onion, seasoned salt, lemon juice, pepper and sugar until creamy and well blended. Place on waxed paper and shape into a 4-inch roll. Wrap and freeze up to 2 months.

For 1 package (10 oz.) frozen vegetables, add a 1-inch slice at the beginning and cook according to package directions. Uncover cook and stir just until sauce thickens.

Or, use for Salmon Steaks with Green Beans Almondine, omitting the cornstarch-water mixture.
