Sauteed Apple Slices


Serves: 4

Ingredients

2 apples tart
2 teaspoons butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon peel grated (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions:

Quarter washed apples, core and slice do not peel. Melt butter (or margarine) in medium skillet. Add apple slices saute over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until apples are tender and transparent. Sprinkle with lemon juice add lemon rind (orange rind may be substituted), if desired add nutmeg (mace may be substituted) and sugar to taste. Serve warm.
