Ingredients

8 (1-ounce) slices ham boiled
Dijon style mustard
3/4 cup Swiss cheese shredded
1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner roll
butter or margarine, melted
sesame seeds or poppy seeds

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Spread four of the slices of ham with a thin layer of mustard according to taste. Sprinkle each with about 3 tablespoons of the cheese. Cover with a second slice of ham, making four stacks set aside.

Divide dough into four rectangles along perforations. Press diagonal perforations to seal. On a lightly floured surface, roll each into an 8 x 6-inch rectangle. Place a ham-cheese stack in center of each rectangle. Fold dough over ham, pressing seam and edges to seal. Transfer, seam-side down, to baking sheet. Brush tops with butter or margarine and sprinkle with seeds.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

"Sliced cheese can be used in place of shredded cheese. The sandwich is especially good with a mug of tomato soup."
