Grit Casserole

Ingredients

8 cups water boiling
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups quick cooking grits
2 butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic cheese softened in 2 tablespoons Sherry
1/2 to 1 tablespoon hot sauce (depending how hot you like your food)
2 eggs

Directions:

Add grits to boiling water and salt a little at a time. Cook 5 minutes. Add butter, garlic cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce. Beat eggs slightly and add. Put in a flat casserole, brush melted butter over the top. Bake at 300° for one hour.

Any of this casserole left over is delicious for breakfast fried in a little butter and served with eggs.
