Holiday Beef Stew


Serves: 5

Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds beef cubes (shoulder or chuck)
vegetable oil
1 can Campbell's tomato soup (condensed)
1 envelope Lipton dry onion soup mix
2 cups boiling water
1 empty can filled with Brotherhood Holiday Spiced wine
fresh string beans (optional)
4 quartered potatoes and/or yams
4 carrots, cut in chunks
frozen green peas (optional)

Directions:

Brown cubed beef in oil. Add soups, boiling water and 1 soup can filled with wine. Add fresh string beans, if desired. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots. Cook approximately 45 minutes until vegetables are soft. Add frozen peas and heat through.
